Our story…

As a nature, wildlife, and macro photographer, I strive to capture fleeting moments of beauty and enhance them with artistic editing to create evocative, timeless images. My love for the coast began during childhood vacations along the North Carolina shore, where I first discovered the quiet magic of salt marshes and the glow of coastal sunrises and sunsets.

With a background as an environmental geologist and retired biology teacher, I bring both a scientific eye and a deep sense of wonder to my work. I hope that the beauty reflected in my images inspires a greater appreciation for—and commitment to—the conservation of these fragile coastal ecosystems and their inhabitants. I am especially drawn to long-legged waders like herons and egrets. Majestic when standing still, yet graceful (and sometimes comical) in motion, they remain one of my favorite subjects to photograph.

My wife, Dominica, and I have shared more than 40 years together, raising our two sons and spending countless vacations on the Texas coast. In 2022, we realized a long-held dream by purchasing a home on South Padre Island—Carolyn by the Sea.

Through my photography, my goal is to bring the emotion, warmth, and timeless beauty of a coastal sunrise or sunset indoors, so these serene moments can be experienced and enjoyed all year long.
